Japanese Pen Pals
Throughout this semester our Year 5/6 students have been connecting with pen pals from Naegi Elementary School in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. 
We recently sent them Manga drawings and information on famous places around Australia. We sent this package via post and it arrived in Japan 3 weeks later. 
We received letters from our pen pals written in Japanese Hiragana. We read information about their families, their birthdays and their hopes and dreams for the future.
It has been a wonderful experience connecting with our friends in Japan, while discovering their unique culture.
We look forward to our last Google Meet for the year, which is set for December.
