National Simultaneous Storytime

We gathered together, as a school, to listen to Josh Pyke, the author, read his picture story book ‘𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒆’, illustrated by Ronojoy Ghosh. A heartfelt celebration of family, community, and the seasons of life, to cherish and to share.

Students engaged in discussions about the important themes in the book, and created some wonderful craft to demonstrate their understanding.

National Simultaneous Storytime is held annually. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. It aims to promote the value of reading and literacy.
