Kodomo No Hi

Last week students participated in the celebration of Children's Day, Kodomo No Hi. This special day in May celebrates the healthy growth and happiness of all children.

On Children's Day, Japanese families fly huge carp-shaped streamers (koinobori) outside the house and display dolls of famous warriors inside. The carp was chosen because it symbolizes strength and success. Happy Children’s Day to all our students at Allansford & District Primary School.
